My doctor told me i have BV(bacterial vaginosis)and that i need antibiotics(metronidazole)?

however i always find metronidazole does not agree with me at all and i dont really like taking antibiotics anyway. so i bought Clearblue Activgel from the internet. Its a l gel that you insert every night for 7 days and it is meant to restore the pH to normal and hopefully getting rid of the BV. im nearly finished the course and I have noticed the symptoms seem to have gone. Has anyone else tried this, and do you think it is safe not to take the antibiotics???
