Short term memory loss in teens? Is it possible? ?

I'm sixteen and have been experiencing some memory loss... I've done some research on it and still haven't come up with any answers. I guess the only way to describe it would be fuzzy memories. The ones that I can recall are brief picture flashes...nothing close to episodic, and they are nowhere near significant or traumatic. I have no problem with short term memory however(as with depression sufferers), and only seem to have problems recalling periods of childhood. Any help? I do not recall having any concussions that would cause amnesia, and think its very unlikely to be caused by a traumatic experience. None the less...its disconcerting and I'm looking for advice...Has this ever happened to anyone else?
