Best furniture for dogs nails??

I have 2 small dogs that love to play with each other. They run like crazy jump up and down on the couch several times a day. They have their nails cut from the groomer yet they are making small rips in the fabric. It has become so bad I am going to replace it. I am wondering what the best fabric would be? They do not shed so hair is not a issue. It is their nails as they pounce and then push off the couch.
