HELP.....I need info on my orphan mare?

I recently bought a palomino quarter horse thats regestered and I was planning on breeding her later on. But 6 years ago when she was born her mother wasn't doing so well and her mom died when she was 2 months old, ever since...that foal had to be bottle fend until weaned. The mare has a little attitude but not bad. I heard you could NOT breed a mare if she was bottle fed when young because they dont know what its like to have a mom so they wouldnt know what it's like. But it may not be true......Is this true???
