Should the government be involved in healthcare or not?
I like to use real world examples to determine things like this. Lasik surgery to fix the eyes is not covered by insurance and not regulated or subsidized by the government. Lasik surgury is the only surgury that has dropped in cost like it has. This is not a coincidence. Insurance is the wrong idea for health-care. It's supposed to be a luxury, not a right. Insurance and government are ruining health-care. Ted Kennedy's HMO plan is what caused where we're at now. I got both of my eyes fixed with surgury for $500. My daughter needed 6 stitches and even with insurance my deductible was $300 and the whole bill $1900. Yeah, keep the government and insurance the **** away from health-care if you want to fix something. Also, mive tort reform. Almost to the point of elimination of medical lawsuits entirely.
