Whats a good, complicated love story?

Need to write this story for english... Its greek times, and its about this man, gardener (mostly of roses), who falls in love with the richest girl in his...area. So, this guy know he doesn't stand a chance as he's a total nobody, so he needs a little help for her to notice him. He asks Cupid, the god, to help out.....and then?? Any help is appreciated loads...
